Delicious and Healthy Snacks For Your Daily Life

Healthy Snacks

There is a lot of debate about whether we should eat several meals throughout the day or limit ourselves to just three meals.

I believe that no answer is correct, as long as you have a healthy lifestyle.
Listen to your body carefully. If it tells you that you need to snack during your day, especially post-workout, then have a bite of something nutritious!

Snacks are really simple foods and yet, certain rules have to be followed:

  • Focus on "real" and non-processed foods
  • Always have a healthy snack on hand. That way, you won't fall into the trap of eating junk food.
  • Healthy snacks should contain healthy fats, proteins, and ideally a fruit or vegetable.

Here is a healthy snack list of 10 simple and highly nutritious vegan snacks ideas you should at least try! Have a bite of these at home or at work to recharge your batteries and feel powerful in the long run!

Vegan Protein Bars

If I had to choose one healthy snack for work, I will always go for a vegan protein bar! Whether it's for a quick snack, pre or post-workout, they are such a great option for you to reach the daily protein amount you need. Also, it is so convenient, easy, and quick to have!

However, many of the products you can find on the market are not very tasty or contain ingredients that don't convince you. And if you are vegan, you might encounter difficulties to even find vegan protein bars options in stores at a decent price.

Whatever the situation you're in, here's the solution: prepare these delicious homemade almond & cherry jam vegan protein bar!

Kale Chips

Kale Chips

This is probably my favorite late-night snack of all!!

Kale is an antioxidant superfood which is an excellent source of C, B & K Vitamins, potassium. It also helps to fight against heart diseases.

Kale chips are a delicious and crunchy snack that is as good as it is easy to make. Cover the kale leaves with nutritional yeast or your favorite spices and bake them in the oven to dehydrate them!

You can also find them at your organic store, but isn't it more fun and cheaper to make your own? Get creative by mixing the spices and making your own special flavor!

90% Dark Chocolate

Dark Chocolate

I absolutely love chocolate, and I bet you do too (who doesn't?!).
Here is great news: dark and unsweetened chocolate is healthy!

Grab a bite of dark chocolate before an important exam, it's a great and healthy on-the-go snack.

Dark cocoa is full of antioxidants that help reducing heart issues and cholesterol, as well as stimulating the brain functions! It also contains a lot of minerals and substances that increase your mood and improve your health.

In general, the higher the cocoa content, the lower the sugar is. Remember that the taste can also be bitter!

Guacamole

Guacamole

Avocados are a great source of nutrients. For 100g of raw product, it contains:

  • 6.7g of fibers
  • 1.6g of Omega 6
  • 26% RDI in K Vitamins
  • 14% RDI in Potassium

Make a guacamole with the avocados for a delicious and healthy snack. It's completely suitable for kids too! You can use pita bread and raw vegetables like baby carrots or cucumber to dip them inside the mixture.

Top it with flaxseed or chia seeds to add an extra omega 3 intake and you are good to go!

Chocolate Nice Cream

Nice Cream

This is really the best healthy snack for summer!

Do you wonder what it is? Nice cream is composed of mixed frozen bananas, which gives the preparation a texture of ice cream.

It is very easy to make. Cut 3 bananas into cubes and put them in the freezer. Once frozen, they go directly to your food processor with 10ml of water. Blend until the consistency is creamy.

There you go, your nice cream base is ready! You can add whatever other fruits or topping you want.

My favorite recipe is the chocolate one! Add a scoop of Falcon Chocolate Protein Powder to the bananas and blend until well combined. Not only this snack is healthy and refreshing, but it is also full of proteins!

You will never feel guilty after snacking one of the food above!
